Thriving organisations inherently understand the necessity to be clear on who they are. We use business-speak to say this in other ways –positioning, brand equity, value proposition - but they all point to the same thing. The thing that organisations need to get clear is: Who Are We? And in knowing that: How Do We Communicate That To Others?
For startups, innovators, and founders, this usually becomes tied to the identity of the founder itself. Or, at least for more established companies, tied to the collective of executives and board members who are steering the direction of the ship.
All the more reason to get extremely clear on who you are.
So, here is a fun exercise for you: plug in the following prompts to ChatGPT (or your AI of choice) and start arguing with it. If you feel so inclined, share in the comments below what you learn.
Your ChatGPT self-actualisation prompt is this:
Hi ChatGPT. I seek to understand myself more deeply. Engage in a light conversation with me, and after some time, extrapolate meaning from the way I interact with you and the language I use, and share with me your inference of what kind of person I am, what my likely strengths, characteristics, and fears are, as well as my level of emotional awareness and intellect.
Better if you can use your own words to say that.
If you already have a “Memory” history with ChatGPT, skip straight to guts of it and ask the following:
Based on the language I use to interact with you, the content, and what you know of me, give me an assessment of what kind of person I am, what my strengths, characteristics, and fears are that I likely carry, as well as my level of emotional awareness and intellect.
Chat GPT will then spit out some assessments, and if you are so inclined, push it a bit further and ask.
Would you please extrapolate further on my character, and make some informed assumptions?
Then proceed to challenge, debate, and argue away.
This should give you some launch points for contemplation, and it makes for a great exercise to start brainstorming who you are, and therefore what you might have to offer the world. To go back to business-speak: this is the launch point for you to figure out your value proposition, your brand, and your positioning.
Enjoy.
